The 2020 Medina Sweet Fair, just as sweet as always but online

The third Sweet and Bread Fair of Medina Sidonia will be celebrate this year despite the restrictions of the pandemic.

It will be held through the municipal tourism website of Medina from November 7 to 11. There will be a section where the public could find information on manufacturings and shops and "exclusive content", according to the organization, so that "artisan products from Medina pastries and bakeries would reach all parts of the Spanish geography".

The design of this year's poster by Asidonean neighbor Andrés Alvarado, represents the event through a traditional scene with bread, alfajores and mantecaos along with tools and references to Arab architecture, which has so marked the Asidonean tradition.

Medina sweets tradition is one of its great tourist attractions, leading a lot public to the place at Christmas. One of its most famous sweets is the alfajor, which has its own protected geographical indication (I.G.P. Alfajores de Medina Sidonia).
